The 2009 Under Armour College Golf Combines website is now open to all recruits from the 2009-2015 classes. Recruits may register for one or more combines and there is no Membership Fee.br There will be six regional combines that provide recruits from throughout the United States and around the world a convenient location to be evaluated by college golf coaches. Recruits that would like to plan their summer tournament schedule have the opportunity to register for combines now. The limited field of boys and girls will play separate golf courses at each 36 hole facility.br College golf coaches are excited about the combines because they give them the opportunity to evaluate all parts of a recruit's game. Recruits may choose the region of the country that the colleges they are interested in are located. Coaches recruiting budgets are tight and the combines provide them with a very efficient opportunity to evaluate recruits with less travel costs. It is never too early for recruits to have coaches begin evaluating their game.br The Junior Golf Scoreboard listing of 2009 recruits that signed 2009 Letters of Intent for golf scholarships shows that almost 60% of the boys were listed as not ranked or ranked outside the top 200 and more than 50% of the girls were also listed as not ranked or ranked outside the top 200. Rankings are not as important as playing live in front of coaches. Many parents spend thousands of dollars to play in tournaments with few coaches in attendance. Recruiting services have been very helpful to recruits and parents when making decisions on which tournaments to play. The combines compliment the recruit's efforts to get college golf coaches interested in them as potential student-athletes. When a recruit invites a coach to attend a combine, their chances of being evalauted by the coach increase.br The registration fee is $395 and each participant will receive more $250 of value before the combine starts. The West Combine was sold out with 180 participants on one golf course. Much was learned from the 2008 combines and the 2009 combines will be better than ever at 36 hole facilities.
